First when I heard and saw Granola it was very new and it was similar to muesli, basically both muesli and granola are made from the same ingredients i.e. grains (rolled oats), nuts, seeds and dry fruits. Whole oats are full of good fibre, high in protein, and contain vitamins and minerals like folate, iron, and magnesium. The difference is muesli is not baked but granola is baked using oil or sweetener’s as binding agents.

Granola

Muesli can be had in cold or cooked in hot milk like porridge or had with yogurt which ever way you like it. As its not cooked and is raw, so it will be bit chewy compared to granola.

Granola is made with similar basic ingredients as muesli i.e.  grains, nuts, seeds and dry fruits baked with sweetener’s like oil, maple syrup or honey. Granola is generally sprinkled over yogurt or stirred into yogurt as cold breakfast.
