Have been eating watermelons since my childhood, have never come across any one disliking water melon. It’s one of the tasty fruits among the fruits kingdom which, finds fanfare among us all. Have always had the cold watermelon cut into thin slices, sprinkle chaat masala and salt. It normally on road sides during summer it taste too good 😊

It’s also encouraging to see the nutrition value of watermelons, which are mostly water — about 92 percent — but this refreshing fruit is full of nutrients i.e. vitamins A, B6 and C, lots of lycopene, antioxidants and amino acids. There’s even a modest amount of potassium. Plus, it is fat-free, very low in sodium and has only 40 calories per cup. Its like watermelon has lot to offer…!

To add zing have added a bit of ginger, lemon and mint leaves to the juice. Sugar is optional if one wants it sweet we could add it. To keep it as simple and natural have not added sugar. See to that all the seeds are removed before grinding watermelon.

  • 1 ½ Cup Watermelon
  • ½ tsp Grated Ginger
  • 1 sprig Mint leaves
  • ¼ tsp of Black salt
  • ¼ tsp of lemon juice


How to Make Water Melon Juice ?

  1. Chop water melon and remove the seeds.
  2. Take all the ingredients above in blender, expect for mint leaves.
  3. Sieve it through a double strainer into a large bowl.
  4. Pour into glasses, add chopped mint leaves and serve chilled.

Recipe Notes

Note: If one fasting please use plain rock salt instead of black salt. One could chia seeds also to the juice, its optional.
