French toast is all time favourite of my daughter, today being good Friday my wife’s is one fast the whole day, so thought of doing something very light and quick. This is vegetarian version i.e. Eggless French toast.  A simple recipe which is a hit with kids and adults alike, first time when I heard about this eggless french toast, was bit sceptical but still thought would give it a try.

So today was the perfect day for that, its made of milk, custard powder, powdered sugar, cinnamon and cornstarch. I have added cornstarch as the toast should come out without sticking to the pan.

Ingredients:

  • 8 Slices of Brown Bread
  • For the Dipping Mixture
  • 1 Cup of Milk
  • 3 tbsp of custard mix it separately in bowl with 1 or 2 tbsp. of milk
  • ¼ cup of powdered sugar
  • ¼ tsp of cinnamon powder
  • ¼ tsp of corn starch
  • 25 gms butter

How to make Veg French Toast Recipe ….?

  1. Take a big bowl, make the sure the bowl is horizontal so it is easy for dipping the bread.
  2. Mix all the items under the list of dipping mixture and whisk it nicely.
  3. Take pan and heat it and dip the bread in that mixture and in the meanwhile put a blob of butter on the pan and sear the butter and fry the toast on both sides.
  4. Serve with maple syrup and coffee/milk.
