If someone is looking for short stay away from the city and does not want to drive and catch flights. I would recommend this place. Just 2 hrs local train journey and you reach Neral Station, once you take a rickshaw from there they take you directly to Saguna Baug. A nice place to spend your weekends in the heart of nature.
SagunaBaug is a dream becoming reality, dream of a Gandhian freedom fighter, popularly known as Harikaka Bhadsavle, being developed by his son. The dream envisage in late 60’s was to set up a strong farming outfit, which will effectively support the family of this social worker.
In pursuit of weekend getaway was looking for perfect place and found this gem of place. Have been here 2 to 3 times with my family.
We have been for an overnight stay in a tent accommodation and two times for a day picnic. It’s very nicely developed with lot of activities planned for the day to entertain the adult’s and the children accompanying them. During the weekend we can find around 400 to 500 individuals visiting the farm.
