  • Neem leaves – fresh or dried or in powder form
  • Water
  • Optional for flavoring: cinnamon orange peel, fennel seed, honey, lemon, sugar


How to make Neem Tea ?

  1. There are many ways to make this tea depending on what we use for the infusion. Below is one of the possible way.
  2. Bring water to boil ( determine quantity as per the number of cups you plan)
  3. The ratio of leaves – fresh or dried should be ¼ cup of leaves to 1 cup of hot water
  4. Pour hot water on the leaves/powder. ( optional to add orange peel, fennel seed etc only if you like the taste/flavoring) Let it sit for 5 minutes
  5. Strain the liquid. You can also refrigerate is for future use upon cooling down.
  6. Add sugar, honey to sweeten it - to remove the bitter taste
  7. add lemon juice – again optional.
  8. Using powder:
  9. For powdered form – use one tsp to one cup of water
  10. Cover it and then refrigerate it – for a day.
  11. The powder will accumulate in the bottom – remove the water from the top – the water is now your tea.
  12. Add sugar, honey or any other sweetener to remove the bitter taste
  13. Can add lemon too.
