Instant Palak Dosa Recipe | Spinach Atta Dosa

Spinach is very healthy for our diet, so we try to find ways to include it in our daily routine, an innovative dosa of whole wheat flour and rice flour fortified with spinach purée offers us a great way to top up on iron. Its crispy and tasty which will go with all age group, try this out and will see a lot kids and adults happily gorging, my daughter today gorged 2 whole dosas away. One can serve this with peanut chutney or normal coconut chutney.

  • 250 Gms Palak/Spinach Leaves Cleaned & Chopped
  • 1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • ½ Cup Rice Flour
  • 1- inch Ginger
  • 2 no's Green Chillies
  • Salt as per taste

Instructions

How to make Palak Dosa ?

  1. Take a large bowl and blanche/boil the chopped Palak/Spinach Leaves with lot of water for 2 to 3 minutes, keep the blanched water aside for making the batter.
  2. Grind the blanched palak/spinach leaves with ginger and green chillies into fine paste.

  3. Meanwhile take a bowl with the whole wheat and rice flour in it, mix the palak/spinach paste and adjust the consistency with the reserved blanched water and also adjust the salt as required.
  4. Heat a dosa tawa and pour 1 ½ ladle for each dosa or decide as per the size of dosa required. Flip and fry for some time.
  5. Serve it with peanut chutney / coconut chutney / tomato chutney.
