Safed Dhokla Batter

Safed Khatta Dhokla Batter is very similar to idly batter, batter requires soaking, fermentation and grinding of the ingredients. But the process of making dhokla is different from the idly so the end result varies.

  • 1 Cup Urad Dal
  • 3 Cup Raw Rice
  • ¼ tsp Methi Seeds



  1. Take all the mentioned above in big bowl rinse it thoroughly and soak it for 6 to 8 hours.
  2. Remove the water and grind it into thick paste.
  3. The batter salt can be adjusted when you are making the dhokla or idly as required.
