Cabbage Fry/Vepudu

Stir fry Cabbage is very quick and easy dish to make. This can go with rice and chapati with ease. This vegetable is very versatile and can be prepared in various ways. Today recipe very basic and easy to make cabbage.

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 350 gms Cabbage
  • 1 Big Onion
  • 2 nos Green Chilli

For Tempering:

  • 1 sprig Curry Leaves
  • 1 tsp Mustard
  • 1 tsp Urad dal
  • 1 tsp Jeera
  • Salt as required

Instructions

Method:

  1. Heat oil in hard bottomed pan, add mustard, jeera, urad dal and curry leaves fry for a second or two.
  2. Now add the onions and the green chilli and the salt too and fry them till the onion is turned translucent.
  3. Now add shredded cabbage and put some more oil and fry till the cabbage is done. Add coriander for garnishing and adjust salt for your taste.

Recipe Notes

Cut the cabbage as small and thin as possible so that it can cook fast and remain crisp.
