Maggi Pizza – Hungry Kya !

Maggi Pizza is a very unconventional way/recipe to make pizza, here we are trying to make the base out of Maggi noodles – which changes the whole concept of making pizza bases. As I started thinking about this recipe, I was very sceptical at first what if the base doesn’t form, the whole pizza goes for toss………………………………… 😊…… but it did form and the rest is history.

The one thing is you do not have the complexity of kneading the dough, leaving it for some time again kneading, and then making the pizza, and also, we don’t have baked it. It’s only a two-step process and one tawa required for it. 1st step prepare the base with the noodles and then the toppings as you like or choose that’s completely up to one choice. Your pizza is ready to be eaten 😊 .

It’s not necessary that you need to use Maggi noodles, if you some other noodles in stock you go for it also, the method would be the same i.e., for preparing the base.

Ingredients

For Making Pizza Base:

  • 2.5 Tbsp Corn Flour
  • 2.5 Tbsp Maida/Plain Flour
  • Water as required
  • 2 Packets Maggi Noodles
  • 1.5 Cup water
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1 tbsp Ground Pepper/Chilli Flakes
  • 1 tsp Mixed Herbs

Sauce:

  • 1 Packet Maggi Masala
  • 2 Tbsp Tomato Ketchup

Toppings:

  • 1 Cup Grated Pizza/Mozzarella Cheese
  • ¼ Cup Onion thinly Diced/Cut
  • ¼ Cup Capsicum Thinly Diced/Cut
  • ¼ Cup Mushroom Thinly Diced/Cut
  • 1 Tsp Oregano
  • 1 Ttsp Chilli Flakes

Instructions

How to Make Maggi Pizza ??

Making Pizza Base:

  1. First, we make the slurry out the corn flour and the plain flour/Maida with the required quantity of water with out lumps, and keep it aside.
  2. Cook the Maggi Noodles as per instructions in 1.5 cups of water, do not over cook the noodles and drain the excess water if any.
  3. In a large bowl add the cooked noodles, the slurry of corn flour and plain flour, salt to taste, chilli flakes/ground pepper, mixed herbs and mix it gently all together.
  4. Heat a pan and oil it and add the mixed maggi noodles to the pan and shape the mixture into round shape and cook until the base gets sperate and the noodles base leaves the pan.
  5. At this juncture flip the maggi noodles base and allow the other side also cook and form the crust.

Sauce & Toppings:

  1. Mix one packet to maggi tastemaker to 2 tbsp of tomato ketchup and spread the sauce on the prepared maggi noodles base.
  2. Now add the desired veggies on the base and spread the grated mozzarella cheese and then cook it covered for another good 2 to 3 minutes.

Finally assembling pizza:

  1. Remove the pizza on to flat board, cut the pizza into 8 quarters or any size as you desire, sprinkle seasoning i.e., oregano & chilli flakes and enjoy the pizza.

Recipe Notes

  • Choice of Veggies can be added i.e., Tomatoes, boiled corn, olives (green and black), jalapeno.
  • Do not over the noodles or the base will turn out to be soft.
  • If you want the base to be crunchy add 1 or 2 tsp cornflour more, have avoided that as it is too much cornflour 😊.
  • One can adjust the amount of cheese as per your requirement, you add one or two varieties of cheese if you want to experiment.
