Review:

I think this place does not require any introduction, Saravana Bhavan known for its authentic south Indian food. We were on our way to Rishikesh from the New Delhi Airport during, we stopped by Saravana Bhavan – Janpath, New Delhi to have our breakfast. Being South Indian an ideal place to have a breakfast for the day. Saravana Bhavan is known for its authentic South Indian dishes. Have had a chance to taste their food in Chennai Saravana Bhavan, there we had an authentic South Indian Thali, which was awesome and lived up to its glory.

We were already very hungry as it was around 10.00 am and we were all up from morning 3.00 am to catch out flight at 6.00 am from Mumbai. So, we tried getting a table for 6 people and order ASAP. Saravana Bhavan is huge and has nice sitting, with cordial staff and a good ambience all together, the interior is of wooden tables and comfortable chairs and sofas. We could it’s quite busy on all days, and were told that there’s normally good waiting time to get your food as there’s plenty of orders to be served.

We ordered for Masala Dosa, Onion Rava Dosa, Idli Medu Vada, Only Medu Vada, Set dosa, Onion Uthappam, the orders took some time but we can say the wait was worth it and the taste was awesome. The masala stuffing in masala dosa was very tasty and all the chutneys given along were awesome, sambar was awesome, its difficult to get extra servings we kept asking but we got the sambar after we almost finished the breakfast. They have separate counter for they serve sweets like Soft Mysore Pak, Horlicks and Bournvita Peda etc and various other sweets.
