Tomato Soup – Thick and Creamy
Old-fashioned tomato soup is the ultimate comfort food. This version of tomato soup, calls for quick purée all the ingredients, this ways it’s easy. It requires a small amount of patience but delivers an enormously soothing payoff. Better than any canned tomato soup or the ready to make soup powders packets available off the shelf.
Garnish with crunchy, delicious Basic Croutons. This goes best along with Cheese tostie and the good old bread sticks.

Ingredients:
250 g Tomatoes
100 g Carrots
15 g Cinnamon – 1 inch Stick
1 tsp Peppercorns
1 tsp Chilies Finely Chopped
1 tsp Rock Salt
2 tsp Butter
2 cups Water
Method/Direction:
Place all mentioned ingredients in a bowl, add one half cup of water and cook them in a pressure cooker for about three to four whistles.
Allow the cooker to cool and then take the bowl out, with the help of a countertop blender carefully puréeing the soup in a couple of batches until smooth, alternatively you could table top grinder and grind them until its a smooth puree.
Now take a pan heat it and pour the puree mixture and bring it gently to heat and add the butter and adjust the salt for taste.
One could some cream on top and have it. Have not done it as choice.
Serve it with Cheese Tostie & Good Old Breadsticks. Its yum children and adult’s too will swear by it.
