Jamjar Diner – Hill Road Review: We had been to Mount Mary and decided to have dinner and go home, so scouting for place to place nearby, we landed in Coffee Culture, being a Sunday there was large waiting list outside we have our names for waiting, we sensed a lot of commotion and anger by the guests waiting as they were all waiting for a long time i.e. more than 45 mins to 1 hour, and as sensed it led to fighting between guests and the staff, so we decided to move from there and go to the opposite Jamjar Diner, just above Mamagoto.
It was a wise decision to go to Jamjar Diner, actually one has to reserve your place in advance. We asked the staff if there was a place, we were asked to wait for some time, there was a cancellation in booking so we were given a seat in the upstairs 6-seater for three people. The ambiance is Kool and Calm, and with perfect interiors, it was nice little place tucked inside.
They have two to three types of seating, and some seating outside also, nice arrangement. They have an old jukebox to play music very nice idea, which goes with the ambiance.
We were given the menus we ordered salad and starters i.e. Sparta for salad, Mushroom on Toast for starters and peanut butter banana chocolate drink for my daughter. Which were really good and served at a good pace and allowed us to enjoy our food.
We ordered fresh basil pasta, for our mains which comes along with two slices of thin bread and also, we had ordered one more dish which was not served till last after repeated requests and reminders, when we asked them for bill, they bought the dish, as we were leaving, we refused to take the food. We were billed only for what we consumed 😊 even though it was on the expensive side it was worth the visit to the jamjar diner.
Jamjar Diner serves mostly American, Italian, Mexican cuisines. One should lay emphasis on their Breakfast Menu too which is yum and time restricted (yet to be tried though) 😊…………. And one more thing is that all their drinks are served in Jar~ because it is Jam-Jar…….!
The Bandra outlet is their second outlet after Versova, Breakfast seems to be good and one should try out. I am going to try out later someday when we are there in the morning time at Versova or at Bandra, hill road.
